Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche and Allen Avadonia are an odd, look-a-like pair. The two are inseperable aside from their respective dormitories and club activities, oftentimes found doing things together or studying. Speak ill of one, you earn the wrath or annoyance of the other.

King Arth and Queen Anne were betrothed since they were young. Kind and benevolent was Prince Arth when he was younger, that it was quite a pity he died in a carriage accident. With no heir for the kingdom in sight, Elluka Clockworker (the Court Mage) decided to do something unorthodox. Mixing mud and magic, she bound Arth's soul into what is classified as a Mud Doll ; reviving him and keeping the heir of the Lucifenian Kingdom. This came with drawbacks... Such as the inability to produce heirs of his own. But that would only be an issue later, after marriage.Prince Arth fell for Anne Swee, a lovely noble lady. Her best friend, Prim Rogzé, offered her blessing and soon, they were married ; with Prince Arth ascending to King Arth and Queen Anne being seen as a lovely, benevolent queen. But due to her personal jealousy, Prim had a glass of wine with Arth, poisoning it. Narrowly escaping his death, the royal family distanced themselves from Prim and her family until she was off to Marlon to marry the king.
But when the time came to produce heirs, Elluka helped once more. The Court Mage used yet another forbidden magic technique to create Irregulars; using Queen Anne's fae blood and the blood of King Arth (a human man) to do so. Two beautiful twins came out of this magic, a boy and a girl; identical in every way aside from gender.
Blessed by the church bells as Princess Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche and Prince Alexiel Lucifen d'Autriche, the twins were beloved by the people and by their parents. Around the age of six, Alexiel discovered a hidden passage next to the fireplace in their shared bedroom, and hid away with Riliane to run off to the Anonymous Coast to play.While the servants went mad looking for them, they played and played for hours, giggling and having fun. Upon their return, both of them were heavily in trouble with their parents; but they did it again. And again. Many times, actually. Around the age of eight, tragedy struck. King Arth began to become sick and his mud doll body began to give out. Queen Anne used every magic she could, along with Elluka, to keep him alive ; but eventually he passed away with Prince Alexiel to be his successor. While mourning, Princess Riliane and Prince Alexiel were snatched by a minister, Minister Rozgé. Riliane was forced to watch as he attempted, quite a few times, to kill Alexiel until they were rescued.With Rozgé executed for his crimes, and Riliane in complete shock, Alexiel's death was publicly announced as he was adopted by Leonhart Avadonia in secret under the name Allen to protect him.
Riliane, unfortunately, had also been told that Alexiel did not survive; in order to keep the ruse. She grieved for the loss of her twin brother, not even caring (at first) when she was named heir apparent to the throne. Allen, meanwhile, was extremely standoffish towards his new foster sister and foster father, keeping to himself and crying himself to sleep because he missed his twin sister and his mother.It took some time before Allen grew into his new role, learning how to become a chamberlain servant and learning swordfighting from his new adoptive sister, Germaine, and his adoptive father, Leonhart. After returning to the palace, Allen quickly became Riliane's major confidante and her closest servant, the only one she trusted in her own bedchambers when needing assistance aside from the head maid, Mariam Phutapie.Both Allen and Riliane were gifted with magic, and despite being just a servant at this point in his life, Elluka trained both in the basics so they could control it and use it to their own needs. At the age of fourteen, Riliane was gifted one of the Four Mirrors of Lucifenia, with King Arth's put away for safe keeping. Queen Anne had the second, and with Riliane's suggestion; it was gifted to Allen (as is his birthright, but Riliane didn't realize) for his own use. It was no surprise when Night Raven College's acceptance letter came for Riliane, but the surprise came when Allen's dropped as well. And together, as always, did they head to school ; away from Lucifenia and the home they knew like the back of their hand.Riliane, sorted into Pomefiore, and Allen, sorted into Diasomnia. Both are in the same year and are in different clubs, but both remain close as ever ; and Allen is awaiting the day he can confide in Riliane that he is her "deceased" twin brother.One day.
Just not today.

The Kingdom of Lucifenia is located off the eastern coast of the Kingdom of Heroes, attached by a beach called the Anonymous Coast in a sort of crescent moon shape. Elphegort is on the northern half of the continent, with Lucifenia in the southern half, divided by the Lost Woods and sharing the Anonymous Coast. The Kingdom of Marlon, an island nation, is off the coast of the Land of Pyroxene, making it a fair trek to go from Marlon to Lucifenia.The current ruler of Lucifenia is Princess Riliane Lucifen d'Autriche (17), with a princess-approved council ruling in her stead while she attends her schooling at Night Raven College. The current ruler of Marlon is King Kyle Marlon (around 21 to 25), Riliane's promised betrothed. The current ruler of Elphegort is King Thorny Elphen, much older than the other two rulers (somewhere in his 40s to 50s).The Kingdom of Lucifenia's exports are primarily agricultural, along with a rather decent fishing industry. Merchants from far and wide were quite welcome, allowed to settle and run businesses within the kingdom due to the open door policy to trade.Lucifenia's culture and society are rather aristocratic, with a rigid social divide between nobility and peasantry. Flowers, particularly roses, were considered typical architectural decorations and rather important to society as a whole. Entertainment usually consists of literature, poetry, and opera. Despite the radical social divide between the nobility and the peasantry, all manner of social caste enjoy the opera, and many attend such events.Racially, Lucifenia is rather open borders and quite tolerant of settlers from many other nations and even species. The nation is currently a melting pot, hosting humans, beastmen, fae, half fae, and all manner of ilk from across the greater Twisted Wonderland. The nation is known as the Yellow Country, though Lucifenia I's yellow-armored soldiers are most likely the cause of such a nickname, as of today's standards, the only thing considered "yellow" would the Royal Family's purebred Orthodox Lucifenian appearances (blonde hair, pale skin, blue eyes).
